Copenhagen confirmed
VfL Wolfsburg is working on signing striker Jonas Wind. FC Copenhagen, where the 22-year-old is still under contract until 2025, provided confirmation of this on Saturday. The negotiations are ongoing.
As “Extraload‘ reported shortly before that the ‘Wolves’ were not the only ones interested in the national player, who made two appearances for the Danes at the last European Championship. However, the FCK has not yet named any other negotiating partners. As the newspaper continues to write, there was already interest from Premier League promoted FC Brentford last summer, but an insufficient offer was received from them. The report does not provide any information about the amount being negotiated between Wolfsburg and Copenhagen. However, Wind was able to increase its market value by more than 50 percent to 7 million euros over the course of the last year.

At VfL, wind would expand the decimated staff in the striker. The extent of the losses in the Wolfsburg attack will become apparent by the end of the transfer on Monday at the latest, when it is clear whether Wout Weghorst (29) will leave the club. Negotiations are currently underway with Burnley FC. In addition, the Lower Saxony will probably have to do without center forward number two, Lukas Nmecha (23) for some time due to injury.
