Reports from Italy
After signing Lovro Majer (25), Aster Vranckx (20) seems to be leaving VfL Wolfsburg after all – but not to PSV Eindhoven, which has been traded for a long time. Like the transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio and “sky“ report in Italy, Fiorentina will be the Belgian’s next stop. The return to Serie A is imminent.

Vranckx was on loan at AC Milan last season but failed to make it through, playing just 318 minutes in ten games. In contrast to the Rossoneri, Fiorentina will sign Vranckx, who is still tied to VfL until 2025, according to the reports from Italy. Wolfsburg will receive a fee of around 7 million euros.

The “Wolves” brought Vranckx, who made his debut for the Belgian national team in June, from his home country of KV Mechelen two years ago for 8 million euros. The midfielder made 31 appearances (two goals) for VfL. In Wolfsburg’s 2-1 win over 1. FC Köln on Saturday, Vranckx was still part of coach Niko Kovac’s squad, who brought him on for Vaclav Cerny (25) in the 85th minute.
