As the newspaper reports, the sporting management of VfL Wolfsburg around managing director Jörg Schmadtke and sporting director Marcel Schäfer came across the native of Munich as part of the search for “attackers with potential for development”. Pejcinovic could be a sporting investment in the future for Lower Saxony, especially since this can be done financially for free. The working papers of offensive players like Josip Brekalo, Omar Marmoush, Max Kruse or Renato Steffen expire next summer, whether a player like Lukas Nmecha can be kept by VfL until the end of his contract in 2025 is anyone’s guess. The 1.88 meter tall Pejcinovic could gradually be introduced to the professional team as a backup via the offspring in the coming years.
With 17 goals in 16 games, the youngster now has an impressive record in the DFB junior squad.
