VfL Bochum: Deep flesh wound at Schlotterbeck

Bochum’s defender Keven Schlotterbeck suffered a deep laceration on his right leg in the game at Union Berlin. That’s what coach Thomas Letsch reported after VfL’s 1-1 draw in the Bundesliga game.

“It must be very deep. It was stapled,” said Letsch about the wound. It is still unclear how long the 25-year-old Schlotterbeck will be missing from the Revierclub in the relegation battle.

“It will be tight for him next week,” said Letsch, looking ahead to the game against VfL Wolfsburg next Saturday. Schlotterbeck had to be substituted against his ex-club Union in the 12th minute. The defensive player did not have to go to the hospital. “He’s jumping around here,” Letsch gave the all-clear.
