The tabloid newspaper names Sebastian Hoeneß (last at TSG Hoffenheim) and Peter Zeidler from FC St. Gallen as other candidates .
The name Hoeneß in particular has been circulating in the media over the past few days. With Zeidler and Toppmöller, “Bild” now brings two new trainers into contact with VfB Stuttgart.
However, the newspaper does not give the troubled Swabians the best chances with regard to the Nagelsmann assistant. After all, Toppmöller is a “player whisperer” at Bayern Munich and is said to be “highly valued” by his superior. Toppmöller and Nagelsmann have been working together for several years. In 2020, Toppmöller joined RB Leipzig and then followed the 35-year-old to FC Bayern in 2021.
