VfB Stuttgart: sports court confirms fine

Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart finally has to pay a fine of 15,000 euros for misconduct by its supporters.

In an oral hearing, the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) confirmed the fine that had been imposed in the single-judge proceedings on June 28.

“More than 1,000 spectators pouring onto the lawn represents too high a risk, which can lead to serious consequences. We can be lucky that nothing more happened here,” said Stephan Oberholz, who is the chairman of the DFB sports court chaired the meeting in Frankfurt/Main.

After the end of the Bundesliga game against 1. FC Köln on May 14, numerous Stuttgart supporters stormed the pitch from several sides of the stadium after it was confirmed that they would remain in the league. Ultimately, there were an estimated 1000 followers in the interior.
