VfB Stuttgart: Mislintat confirms offer for Kalajdzic – Wolves offer too low

VfB demands more from the Wolves

There is an offer from Wolverhampton Wanderers for Sasa Kalajdzic, but it is not enough for VfB Stuttgart. Sven Mislintat, sports director at the Bundesliga club, confirmed this on Sunday. “His advisors know exactly what it’s about and have been for three months. That’s why we’re still clearly in our position at the moment,” said Mislintat on “Dazn” after the Swabians were 0-0 at 1. FC Köln. According to the media, VfB wants 25 million euros. The offer from the English Premier League club should only be 15 million euros plus bonus payments. The numbers would add up, Mislintat said.

The Austrian was linked with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the summer but is now likely to make a move to England. Therefore, at his own request, he was absent from the final training session of the Swabian Bundesliga club on Saturday. “He said he doesn’t feel 100 percent ready in the current situation. We accept it now and have to see what happens in the next four or five days,” said Mislintat, looking ahead to the September 1 transfer window.

Most recently, Mislintat confirmed interest from England on Monday and also named the Wolves as one of the contenders. At the time, however, there was nothing concrete, “neither on the one hand nor on the other,” said the manager. Several media outlets had previously reported an agreement in principle between Kalajdzic and the West Midlands Premier League club.
