The move from Jovan Milosevic (18) to FC St. Gallen is perfect. The center forward talent from VfB Stuttgart is joining the Swiss first division club on loan until the end of the season, as the clubs confirmed on Tuesday evening.
Milosevic moved to VfB in the summer for a fee of 1.2 million euros, but barely played in coach Sebastian Hoeneß’s team and barely logged more than half an hour of playing time. The competition in attack with Serhou Guirassy and Deniz Undav was too great, although Milosevic was “according to our expectations” according to VfB sports director Fabian Wohlgemuth. Milosevic has “made good use” of his time in Stuttgart so far.
In Switzerland the transfer window is open until Thursday (February 15th), which means that the transfer is still possible even after the transfer closes in Germany. The time until the end of the season is correspondingly short. “In the next five months at FC St. Gallen he has the prospect of more match practice, which is now the top priority for his further development,” said Wohlgemuth about Milosevic. In St. Gallen, sports director Roger Stilz presented the young striker as a versatile attacker who enjoys combinations.
