Including purchase option
Portuguese right winger Gil Dias has joined Legia Warsaw on loan from VfB Stuttgart. The 26-year-old, who came to the Swabians from Benfica in January for a fee of one million euros, has not been able to establish himself at VfB and has only played eight competitive games in the past eight months.
The deal with the Polish first division club lasts for one season, and according to media reports, the rental fee is 200,000 euros. According to reports, a purchase option of over EUR 1 million is also included. “Legia has a great team and a great base. The club has all the prerequisites to achieve good results this season. I want to win the league title – I think that’s the most important thing for Legia. (…) Now I’m very happy to be here,” said Dias.
Legia’s sporting director Jacek Zielinski said: “Gil Dias has a lot of individual quality and the potential to become an even better player. He now needs rhythm and time to adapt.”
