U19 defender
As expected, VfB Stuttgart lost one of its defensive talents: Jan-Carlo Simic (17) from the U19s. As initially the “Stuttgart News“ reported and a little later by the Lega Serie A confirmed, the Serbian youth international will join AC Milan. The central defender is said to have signed a professional contract with the reigning Italian champions, but is initially training with Primavera (U19). It is said that VfB will receive a transfer fee in the six-digit range, which could increase to up to one million euros due to possible bonuses.

Simic joined the VfB youth squad in 2018 at the age of 13, where he has been part of the U19 squad since this summer. Last season he was the captain and regular in the U17s and made 16 appearances (two goals). His contract was valid until 2023, but included an opt-out clause for this year.
