Goalscorer Sasa Kalajdzic and full-back Borna Sosa were not in the squad for VfB Stuttgart’s friendly against FC St. Gallen (3-0).
Instead, both players trained individually on an adjacent pitch. You could still leave the Bundesliga soccer team this summer. Kalajdzic has been linked to English Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Sosa to Atalanta Bergamo from Italy’s Serie A.
“In fact, no official offer has been received at this point in time,” said Stuttgart’s sporting director Sven Mislintat after the game. But he gets the first requests from a club, especially for Kalajdzic. If nothing changes in the current status by then, the duo would be back in the squad for the upcoming league game at 1. FC Köln on Sunday, Mislintat continued.
The goals for VfB in the friendly against the Swiss Super League club were scored by Nikolas Nartey (10th minute), Luca Pfeiffer (47th) and Philipp Klement (83rd). Stuttgart’s coach Pellegrino Matarazzo deployed many reserves. Nartey had to be replaced injured after almost half an hour.
