VF Corporation appoints Brent Hyder as Chief People Officer

The US clothing group VF Corporation presented the new person responsible for its human resources on Tuesday. Brent Hyder will take over as chief people officer on September 5, the parent company of brands including The North Face, Vans and Timberland said in a statement. In his future position, Hyder will be part of the Group’s leadership team and will report directly to CEO Bracken Darrell.

Hyder comes from the IT company Salesforce, where he has also served as chief people officer for the past four years. Previously, he had held various management positions at the apparel group Gap Inc. over the course of his almost thirty-year career.

At VF, Hyder will now assume responsibility for all aspects of global human resources and “drive strategies designed to optimize the success of employees and the company,” the group said. In addition, he will lead recruitment and management programs with which the group of companies wants to “further develop and retain” its more than 30,000 people.

CEO Darrell justified the personnel decision: “We are very pleased that Brent is joining the VF team,” he said in a statement. “His proven track record of creating excellent workforce conditions and high-performing, inclusive cultures combined with his extensive experience in global retail management makes Brent the ideal HR leader for VF.”
