Veurnse Galerie Emergent unpacks with Expo ‘Emergent invites’

“Normally we have three curating exhibitions a year. In order to blow a breath of fresh air through Emergent, we have invited nine galleries from Antwerp, Brussels, West Flanders and even Liège to make their own presentation in Emergent. In the meantime, we even have several galleries that we will have to receive at a later stage because it was such a great success, says Hilde Borgermans of the platform for contemporary art.

This collaboration offers Emergent’s permanent public an offer that would require them to travel to Ghent, Antwerp, Liège or Brussels. But there are also works from the own province. Hilde Vandaele Gallery in Watou, among others, is presenting work by the late Ostend artist Herman Bellaert.

The expo ‘Emergent invites’ on the market in Veurne runs until January 8 and is open every weekend.
