According to the official announcement made today, the actor and musician Vesa-Matti for Loir no state funeral is held.
In the press release, Prime Minister Sanna Marin and Minister of Science and Culture Petri Honkonen confirm that the Government remembers the artist Vesa-Matti Loir widely.
– The actual state funerals will continue to be organized mainly for presidents, the press release says.
The State Council plans to represent Loir at the funeral and lay a memorial wreath on his grave.
– Vesa-Matti Loiri is one of the most loved and greatest artists of the time of our independence. He has moved countless Finns over generations. That’s why we want to respect the memory as a whole Government Council, the ministers state.
