In Tiendeveen, according to the fire brigade, a ‘very large fire’ is raging in a barn and house on Kerkweg. Fire brigades from all over the region are trying to save the house.
A fire service spokesman said the fire started with a tractor fire. “It spread to a barn and the barn fire spread to the house. We do not yet have any insight into what can be considered lost.”
The fire brigade warns of the smoke and calls on people not to come to Kerkweg. “Is the smoke bothering you? Close windows and doors and switch off ventilation. Fire brigade is there with a lot of material to fight the fire, so give the emergency workers space. Do not come to the incident,” the call reads on Twitter.
