Bicycles were stolen from several sheds in Heiloo on the night of Wednesday, September 20. These are quite expensive copies. The police share the above images in the hope of catching the “clumsy thieves”. The camera shows how clumsily they work.
Two men go to work around 2:30 am on the 20th in a shed on Nicolaas Blokkerlaan. That night they sneak into a garden and try to open the shed door with a crowbar. That happens in fits and starts.
It takes them a long time to open the barn door. One of them even falls hard. Finally, a stone is thrown through the window and they climb in quite clumsily. “Their actions have been well recorded,” police said. “Hopefully they get caught.”
“These are above-average expensive bicycles with a value of thousands of euros”
That same night, the same men may have also broken into another barn nearby. That happened on the Westerweg. This also concerns expensive bicycles from a shed.
Expensive ones
In total, the most likely same perpetrators managed to take five expensive bicycles. “These are above-average expensive bicycles – especially sports models – with a value of thousands of euros,” the police say. “They may have been offered online or to local bike shops.”
