Very dangerous ecstasy pills are doing the rounds at Extrema Outdoor: “MDMA dose four times higher” | Inland

Dangerous ecstasy pills are doing the rounds at the Extrema dance festival in Houthalen-Helchteren. The Limburg public prosecutor’s office warns about this via social media.

An ecstasy pill with a dose of 300 mg MDMA was found at the festival on Friday. “That is 4 times higher than a normal ecstasy pill,” says public prosecutor Pieter Strauven. “From a level of 125 milligrams, an ecstasy pill is very dangerous. A dangerous pill was also found last year. It contained ‘only’ 175 milligrams of MDMA,” said Strauven.

The pill found Friday was pink and shaped like a Mario Bros figure. The Limburg prosecutor’s office shared a photo of the drug on Instagram. The prosecution calls for caution. According to the public prosecutor and the police, it is a very dangerous pill that can be potentially fatal.

Extrema Outdoor will take place this year from 3 to 5 June. New this year at XO is a test village that has been specially set up to check drugs. All kinds of drugs found during checks go to the test village. Within fifteen seconds it is known how dangerous a certain substance is.

A visitor to the festival, a man in his fifties from the Netherlands, died last year after ingesting a dangerous ecstasy pill.
