Dutch pilot of the Red Bull team, Max Verstappen, won the Japanese Grand Prix in the Formula 1 World Championship.
The 17th leg of the championship was held over 53 laps at the 5,807-kilometer Suzuka International Raceway in Japan.
Verstappen crossed the finish line first with a time of 1.30.58.421. McLaren’s British pilot Lando Norris came in second, and his teammate Australian driver Oscar Piastri came in third.
Red Bull Racing secured the 2023 F1 constructors’ championship after Verstappen’s victory at the Japanese Grand Prix.
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, the organization’s clear championship candidate, has 13 race wins, his teammate Sergio Perez has 2 race wins, and Ferrari pilot Carlos Sainz has 1 race win. The 6th leg of the season, the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, was canceled due to adverse weather conditions.
The 18th race of the championship, the Qatar Grand Prix, will be held on October 8.
