The Palace of Versailles was evacuated again on Saturday due to a bomb threat. After the safety check was completed, it could be reopened in the afternoon, as the tourist attraction near Paris announced.

This is the sixth closure of the castle in seven days due to a threat. Although a suspect has already been arrested, the threats continue.

In recent days, hundreds of schools in France and regional airports have also been affected by bomb threats. According to the authorities, young people are behind many of the threats.

Bomb threats have increased since the deadly attack by a young Islamist on a teacher in Arras a week ago, which severely shocked France. The highest terror alert level in the country was then imposed.
