Stepanova wants to do sprint skiing in the desert.
Veronika Stepanova, a Russian figure skater banned from international competitions, has revealed yet another amazing statement.
Dagbladet according to Stepanova has challenged the Norwegian and Swedish skiers to a “duel” against her.
The duel would take place in Dubai, far from the watchful eye of the International Ski Federation, Fisi.
Stepanova is painting a competition where she would face, for example, Norway by Kristine Skistad or in the Swedish Linn Svahn sprint race in the middle of the desert.
– I have seen the movie Rocky 4, where Sylvester Stallone’s character fights against a Soviet boxer. Two worlds meet in front of a large audience and millions of TV viewers, the Russian skier raved.
– If politics stays in sports in the future, I’m ready for this. Let it come! Otherwise, you will ski to empty stands.
According to Dagbladet, Stepanova has personally sent a challenge to Svahni, but has not received a response.
Svahn has previously said that he will boycott the international games if Russia gets to participate in them.
