Another bad gesture of racism against the Neapolitans
An episode of racism against the Neapolitans happened in Casette, a hamlet of Legnago in the province of Verona. As reported today by the newspaper L’Arena, an inscription was drawn with black spray in front of the building where some residents of Naples live who celebrated the third championship by displaying a banner on the balcony. This triggered the act of incivility of some opponent fans or it is assumed that they are from Verona because next to the writing «Napoletani mer..!» on a sidewalk in front of one of the popular buildings in via Martiri d’Istria e Dalmazia, in the Adige district on the right, there was the symbol of Hellas. «We», say a 70-year-old couple who live in the building in question, «like other families from Naples who live in our condominium, displayed the banners several weeks ago, without offending anyone. We have not organized caravans in the square, fireworks or anything else that could have disturbed the tranquility of those who sprayed this writing. Instead we find ourselves with this “gift” right in front of our house. It’s a situation that makes us very sad.” Some nuclei have already reported the incident to the Carabinieri of Legnago and some residents have alerted the Municipality. It is not the first time that racist vandalism has appeared in the city, especially in Casette.
