The midfield is Hertha’s biggest construction site – now there should be movement in the plans of the second division club!
According to BZ information, Hellas Verona is on Suat Serdar (26) interested. First, transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported about it. The Italian first division club should aim to loan the midfielder – negotiations are ongoing.
Serdar had missed the game at HSV (0:3) due to muscular problems. He was also missing from the squad on the first two matchdays in Düsseldorf (0-1) and against Wiesbaden (0-1). Serdar was on the pitch for 57 minutes in the cup success in Jena (5-0).
Now Serdar could be drawn to Serie A. With the loan, Hertha would save at least part of the annual salary of 1.8 million euros at Serdar, which is high for the second division.
At the same time, a Serdar departure would further increase Hertha’s distress in the center. In Hamburg, an improvised midfield ran up again.
After the game said coach Pal Dardai (47): “In the whole game, six players played in midfield who are not trained midfielders. Nevertheless, they tried, the will is there. But we have to score.”
This requires experienced professionals – such as dream players Diego Demme (31) from Naples. And possibly an offensive replacement for Serdar, should the Verona deal work out soon.
