Verkkokauppa.com has announced the most frequently returned and worst rated products of the year. Product reviews are written by the buyers of the products, i.e. the company’s customers.
The company says in its press release that more and more consumers seek support for their purchase decision by reading product reviews.
– A good tactic is to always read several reviews of the product, because each review can be influenced by the reviewer’s own preferences. Before making a purchase decision, you should remind yourself of the most important selection criteria, Verkkokauppa.com’s commercial director Tatu Kaleva reminds in the announcement.
There can be several reasons for the product’s high return rate
Although, for example, the return percentage cannot directly determine whether it is a bad product or, for example, just an accidental impulse purchase, it gives the consumer a signal that the purchase should be stopped and considered; either because of possible poor quality or just to avoid ordering the wrong product.
In the case of some products that ended up on the list, it is likely that the customer has accidentally bought, for example, the wrong version of the product.
– There are also many products on the list whose compatibility can be challenging to check online, Kaleva clarifies.
Kaleva says that the average return percentage of all Verkkokauppa.com products is around one percent.
At least 10 sold products were included in the list of the highest return rates. The products with the worst reviews had at least five reviews left.
