Joey Veerman is satisfied with PSV’s game, which hardly got into trouble against Heracles and with a 3-1 win stepped off the field. According to the star, PSV could have hurt the away team much more often.
Veerman agreed that his team could and perhaps should have scored more often. “We still missed a lot of opportunities. They are all flying well in the training sessions, now even in the competition. What’s the difference? We got a lot of time today, maybe you’ll think too much. But I think we played well, it’s a shame you can’t make seven or eight,” said the midfielder, who was voted man of the match and was serenaded from the stands.
The midfielder who was taken over from SC Heerenveen caused consternation on social media yesterday by sitting in the stands during the match between SC Heerenveen and Willem II. “We don’t have to worry about that, do we? I just went to watch a game of football. I didn’t enjoy the game, but I did see my old mates again.”
