The mistakes you make: what is he talking about?
The song yes opens with a moment of reflection. “I spent an evening with me…”. It was Vasco himself who talked about this song. He did it with a long Instagram post. The mistakes you make «it is a journey within oneself, in search of a “self” that does not exist, but is only an illusion. Everything changes, everything transforms, we too are “a process” always in progress, like everything in the universe».
And he added: «It’s a song about the human condition, in the continuous search for a “permanent center of gravity” that cannot exist and for a meaning that is not always there». The sound of this song is perfect in line with Blasco’s recent productions: his rock is energetic and full of conviction.

Vasco Rossi: «Artists make you believe that nothing is impossible»
The song continues with other reflections. “Always running, running, running away from what… Always taking, taking, you never know. Trying to correct the mistakes you make”, sings Vasco.
The song then ends with a phrase: “Take my hand and tell me that nothing is impossible”. According to Vasco «all artists do this: they take your hand and take you into another world, making you believe that nothing is impossible».

The Survivor: what the Netflix docu-series on Vasco Rossi is about
The song comes out at the same time as the Netflix docu-series The Survivor – I want a life like mine. According to what was communicated «for the first time Vasco tells his story in the first person». Filmed largely during the two years of the pandemic, the docu-series takes advantage of the break experienced by Vasco – as well as by all of us – for a reflection on his life, both artistic and private.
Inside the The Survivor are also present exclusive interviews, archival materials And testimonies of those who accompanied him all these years. There is a desire to explain the genesis of some iconic songs but also the desire to show his private life, from Los Angeles to his beloved Zocca.
In the series – which will be divided into five episodes – will be given «a lot of space to music, his songs, immortal, follow his life step by step». Vasco Rossi defined it as «a 5 hour long selfie», precisely to underline the total transparency of this project which has the ambition of telling its audience in an even more exhaustive way. Written by Igor Artibani and Guglielmo Ariè, together with Pepsy Romanoff (also director of the docu-series), Vasco Rossi – The Survivor is produced by Solaris Media in collaboration with Except.
