The battery group Varta AG (ISIN: DE000A0TGJ55) does not intend to pay a dividend for the 2022 financial year. In the previous year, shareholders received a dividend of EUR 2.48. The general meeting of the group listed in the SDAX will take place on July 11, 2023.

Varta, based in Ellwangen in Baden-Württemberg, presented the final business figures for 2022 on Friday. Group sales fell by 10.6 percent to EUR 806.9 million in the 2022 financial year. For the 2023 financial year, the Executive Board expects sales of between EUR 820 million and EUR 870 million and assumes an adjusted EBITDA of at least the magnitude of the previous year.

Varta produces and markets a battery portfolio ranging from micro batteries, household batteries, energy storage systems to customer-specific battery solutions and currently employs around 4,700 people.
