Variable-interest loan already costs 4 percent: installments at the highest level since 2014

In the last decade, borrowing money has rarely been as expensive as it is today. The average interest on a home loan with a term of more than ten years was 3.11 percent in February, according to recent data from the National Bank. That was the highest level since August 2014. Those who want a loan with a variable interest rate now even have to pay 4 percent interest.
