Presenter May Day Pimi, 45, says he received a flood of messages with his previous Instagram stories. In the story sections in question, Pimiä said that she had received an avalanche of hate messages Dancing with the stars – about the broadcast of the program. He stated that it is an annual phenomenon.
Now Pimiä says in her recent Instagram stories that her opening up made many people share their own experiences of the phenomenon with her. Pimi also received a lot of support from many of his social media followers, such as a social media influencer Sara Sieppi and presenter Marja Hintikka.
Pimiä says that he noticed from the messages he received that the unfortunate phenomenon does not only affect celebrities.
– I was quite worried by the fact that many people have made this same observation, even if they are not public figures, he says in the story sections.

Pimi is particularly puzzled by the fact that many customer service employees said that they receive appearance reviews from their customers. The nurses also told the host that they hear similar comments from their patients.
– A few also said that they have noticed this same trait in their own relatives: they talk and criticize really badly, because they feel it is their right. I find it really confusing, says Pimiä.
According to her, all the messages had the same message: many receive hate messages, mostly from older women. However, one does not want to generalize Pim too much.
– I also received a lot of messages from people older than me, who said they were ashamed that their fellow sisters acted like this, the host reminds.
At the end of her speech, Pimiä shares a tip with her social media followers, in which the presenter quotes a woman older than her who attends the same gym.
– He said that “a pensioner has to keep himself busy – life is not enjoyable otherwise”. I think it was so spot-on, says Pimiä.
– If this wandering helped something or someone got comfort from this, then this has been wörtti (Finnish: worth it), he adds.
