Vandenbroucke’s anti-tobacco plan: soon more than 10 euros for a pack of cigarettes

Federal Minister of Health Frank Vandenbroucke (Vooruit) wants to create a smoke-free generation. There will therefore be a smoking ban on sports grounds and at the entrance to hospitals. Smoking is also becoming considerably more expensive, with a small pack of Marlboro rising to over 10 euros. Rolling tobacco is even approaching 20 euros per pack. Does that work? “Making it more expensive is not nice, but it is the most efficient.”
