Orange captain, despite punishment, still confident towards the European Championship
ZEIST – Sari van Veenendaal was able to sink through the ground in Leeds on Friday after England’s 3-1. The Orange goalkeeper dived over a shot from Ella Toone in the second half and thus initiated a dramatic final phase. In the end, the first exhibition game towards the European Championship ended in a painful 5-1 defeat, but the captain of the Lionesses does not allow himself time to mourn.
