Van Peteghem was also critical of the labor deal that the federal government knocked off this week. According to him, this is insufficient to achieve the employment rate of 80 percent, as the federal and regional governments have set themselves by 2030. According to the minister, much more needs to be done to ensure “that work will pay more”.
