A van caught fire last night at a carpool place on the Dikkewijk Westzijde in New Amsterdam. No one was injured.
When the fire brigade arrived, flames were already shooting out of the van. The side door was removed with hydraulic tools so that the fire brigade could also check the loading space.
The van must be considered lost due to the fire. The police are investigating whether arson occurred.
