Upon your arrival, Virgil Van Dijk managed to be the leader of the Liverpool defense and became the fashion center. The Dutchman was intractable and established himself as one of the key pieces in Klopp’s scheme. But until now it was unknown that he was about to to sign for one of the rivals of the reds in the domestic competition, the Manchester Utd.
Almost six years later, what could have been his destiny in the summer market of 2017 has come to light. And it is that it was on the agenda of the red devil team, but the signing did not take place, since they ended up opting for the Swedish Lindelöf.
The Dutchman’s record at Liverpool is enviable: a Premier League, an FA Cup, a League Cup and a Champions League, having reached up to three finals, two of them against Real Madrid and another against Tottenham. But if he had ended up landing in Manchester, things would have been very different, both for the player and for the Red Devil team.
