Virgil van Dijk was very pleased with Liverpool’s win against Internazionale (0-2) in the eighth finals of the Champions League. “I enjoyed the atmosphere and the audience here,” said the captain of the Dutch national team. “And this is of course a very good result for us.”
“Inter Milan is a very good team,” said Van Dijk. “It was very difficult to play here. Inter defended very well. But in the end I think we just deserved it. We kept working hard. That’s where it all starts. We were prepared to suffer.”
Liverpool owed the victory to goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah in the last fifteen minutes of the game. Liverpool have won all seven matches in the Champions League this season.
