One day after the announcement that Stefanie van der Gragt will stop as a football player after the upcoming World Cup, the Heerhugowaard woman has already found a new job. Van der Gragt will soon join the AZ Women as technical manager.
The 30-year-old Van der Gragt will soon sign a three-year contract in Alkmaar. The 101-time international returns with this step to the club with which she became national champion in the 2009-2010 season and won the cup a year later.
After her time at AZ, Van der Gragt also played for Telstar, FC Twente, Ajax, Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona. The central defender currently plays for the Italian Internazionale.

Robert Eenhoorn, General Manager of AZ, is delighted with the arrival of Van der Gragt: “We have made a very important step with the recruitment of Stefanie. Stefanie knows the football world through and through and has a worldwide network. With her at the helm of AZ Women, we are going to build a successful period in our own way.”
The AZ Women will return to the women football. It was recently announced that Mark de Vries has signed a one-year commitment and will become the trainer of the Alkmaar formation.
