A delivery van collided with a truck on the A2 near Ittervoort on Monday morning.
The accident happened around 10:20 a.m. on the southbound highway.
In the mirrors
According to the local news site, the truck driver saw WeertdeGekste.nl approaching the van in its mirrors quickly. He tried to give some gas, but was unable to avoid a collision. For unknown reasons, the van collided with the trailer of the truck.
Hospital
The two occupants of the van were taken to hospital for a check-up. The truck driver complained of neck pain and was examined by paramedics on the spot. He didn’t have to go to the hospital.
The access to the highway from Napoleonsweg was closed for a short time because of the accident. A recovery company has removed the damaged vehicles from the highway.
