Van collides with engine on E40 in Veurne

A van hit a British motorcyclist and his passenger on the E40 near Veurne on Friday evening. Two ambulances and an MUG team were sent to the scene. Two minor injuries were taken to the hospital in Veurne.

The van and engine had to be towed. The fire brigade placed a signalisation vehicle and had to clear the debris from the highway. There was disruption for a while at the height of the accident.

A few hours earlier, a motorcyclist from Diksmuide had a serious crash in Houthulst after he collided with a traffic island. He was thrown from his motorcycle by the collision and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
