“It is such a pity, such a sad story”, says Paul De Winter. He is talking about villa Vaeck, a modernist house in Hofstade in Flemish Brabant that his father designed in the 1950s. Today it only hangs together with hooks and eyes. But Paul continues to fight for his father’s work. The owner has deployed the grab crane, although an appeal against the demolition is still pending.
