Tappara beat league leader Luko 2–1 in Thursday’s top match of the SM league.

With the win, Tappara took second place in the series over Ilves. It was the second loss in a row for Luka.

Tampere was responsible for the goals in the second period Niko Ojamäki and Petteri Puhakka. Ojamäki scored the opening goal with a terrible shot straight from the pass with superior power.

Puhaka’s goal came from a penalty kick, and it was also really handsome. The 21-year-old skillful took the puck silky smooth past the Lukko keeper Artyom Zagidulin in between the legs.

– Petteri Puhakka, go wash your hands, Tappara wrote on Twitter.

After the video review, Lukko still got to the end of the goal, when Otto Somppi directed the puck from the air into the net. In the last minute, the people of Rauma created a wild rumble, but did not equalize.

At the end of the match, a dangerous situation happened when Lukon Samuli Piipponen tried to tackle Valtteri Kemläinen I’ll put it. The tackle went past, and Piipponen’s skate landed in Kemiläinen’s face.

A scratch was left on Kemäläinen’s cheek, but major damage was avoided.

Tappara will next travel to Sweden, where they will meet Luulaja in the CHL final on Saturday. Axe-breasts haven’t had much time to play before the big game, as the team has played in the SM league on Saturday, Tuesday and now Thursday.
