Valtteri Bottas was on the same topic as Hanko invented in Mexico.
The sixth starting grid was Bottas’ best in ages. In the spring in Miami, the starting grid was fifth, but this time driving a clean wedge between the Ferraris was a respectable performance.
– A really good session. Everything went as we planned. Before qualifying, we thought that seventh place would be realistic, but getting between the Ferraris is welcome, Bottas said with a smile to Viaplay.
The new upgrade parts have sent the Finnish early season flying. Thanks to them, Bottas has gotten the performance and credit he needs for his car.
– When you feel good, the watch likes it too, Bottas stated.
– The best round of the weekend came at the right time.
In Sunday’s race, Bottas has a chance to break his boring, ten-GP streak without points. That’s the goal.
– Maximum points for home. Nothing more. I believe that it would be good for everyone if we could now get points from the race, Bottas stated at the end of the interview.
