Valtteri Bottas the time trial ended prematurely when he was the first driver to stay ashore in a second-stage mower.
Bottas’s fate was left in the 11th starting box when his teammate Zhou Guanyu always progressed to the finals of the time trial.
The Chinese finally survived the tenth box.
– I felt a little bad with the timing. I was one of the first to take the checkered flag, although the track improved in style by a second per lap, Bottas explained to Viaplay.
