Valerio Zeno has already lost his free section in Renze Klamer’s talk show after two episodes. Yesterday he was only allowed to introduce some ‘funny’ films with the help of the autocue.
The fun was short-lived for Valerio Zeno. He was allowed to fill in a block of ten minutes in Renze Klamer’s talk show for two weeks at his own discretion, but that is over after the shitty acts with Bulletje and Siegfried & Joy. So yesterday the presenter was only allowed to introduce some ‘funny’ films and that is of course quite painful.
Seeking Valerio
That free role for Valerio did not fit at all, says RTL Boulevard star Luuk Ikink. “You really just saw him searching: what am I supposed to do with this? From: I have quite a lot of time, ten minutes, what can I do with that? He had invited Siegfried & Joy, that illusionist duo, and Bulletje was with him, that didn’t go too well either.”
Co-host Rob Goossens continues in the latest BLVD Podcast: “His role is a bit like what you did at RTL Late Night, but then further evaluated. With you it was all very tight and the idea with Valerio is that you don’t know how things are going.”
Luuk: “Something different every time.”
Surprising element
Well, that every time something different is now over. Now Valerio just has the same movies as any other program. And according to Rob that is not original. “We know how things are right now with the traditional talk shows. Today Inside is doing well and the other talk shows are just having a hard time.”
He continues: “I think it’s very good that they are looking for something else. Then such an element of which you do not know in advance what will happen can be a reason for people to say: I’ll just have a look, because you don’t know. Only so far there has not been one contribution that was completely right.”
Outside the studio
Luuk thinks that Valerio had better stop altogether. “I understand that they think: that Valerio did a good job at Real Girls, can we give him a role? But I still feel that his quality, at least for now, is more outside the studio.”
Oops, that is painful to hear for someone who has been dreaming of great studio entertainment on RTL 4 for years.
