Nasser Al-Attiyah is racing his 22nd Dakar in the Saudi Arabian desert, aboard the Dacia Sandrider and navigated by Fabian Lurquin. A long-time “Dakarista” who also has five victories in the overall classification, great experience that allows him to clearly face the thousand pitfalls of the most important rally raid in the world. “It’s easy to lose and gain positions in the Dakar” he explains, “there’s no need to always go to the limit, you need to maintain a reference and make as few mistakes as possible, paying attention to ‘traps’, punctures and wrong notes”.
