Valencian Community Agreements | Vox will have a vice presidency and two ministers in the Government of Mazón

PP and vox They have closed this Wednesday a programmatic agreement to govern in coalition and that also fixes the distribution of portfolios. far right It is done with two ministries and a vice-presidency with management. Three departments in total plus the presidency of the Corts, tied up on Tuesday. If the promise of the PP of a Consell with ten departments is fulfilled, the PP would keep six and the Presidency. The pact will be announced this Thursday and a joint act is not planned.

The lightning route has continued to be activated and as this newspaper has been able to learn, in the early afternoon an agreement has been closed on a 50-point document which will be presented this Thursday. The distribution of ministries contemplates, as Mazón had previously advanced, Education for the PP and Agriculture for Vox, with the bullfighter Vicente Barrera at the head of the department.

At the official level, there have been no statements on the progress in what, according to both formations, has only been the second meeting between representatives of PP and Vox. From the first face to face, in addition to the resignation of Flores, a brief document of five generic points (freedom, economic development, health and social services, signs of identity and families) which is the one that has materialized this Wednesday and whose small print will be known on Thursday.

Both formations have agreed, in a meeting somewhat longer than the one held on Tuesday in the Corts, a government program that includes fifty measures that develop these main axes. The speed in reaching a quorum, in any case, gives credibility to the information that suggests that the talks were already advanced before that first meeting. Flores himself, who, although excluded from the negotiating table, could be seen by the Corts, pointed out the imminent white smoke on his social networks.

Late on Tuesday, there was speculation that the far-right party could take over Education, Social Affairs and Agriculture. Mazón, however, dismissed this possibility early on Wednesday, assuring that both Education and Health are areas that his party considers “key.” In fact, the future ‘president’ has added that he has already chosen the person who will put in charge of this department, the second with the most budget after Health and that this 2023 will manage more than 5,500 million euros.

In addition, it advanced what will be one of its first measures in this area: to eliminate the Office of Linguistic Rights, the body in charge of guaranteeing the linguistic rights of citizens and promoting the use of co-official languages. According to Mazón, this is an “unrenounceable” commitment for there to be “educational freedom” and to get “ideology” out of the classroom. He also pointed out that with this closure he will put an end to “an entire army of hand-picked language advisers.”

A bullfighter, Minister of Agriculture

The department that will pass into the hands of Vox is Agriculture, with the bullfighter Vincent Barrera as future councillor. After going to number seven on the Vox list to the Valencia City Council (where he did not obtain a councilor’s certificate), the right-handed man’s attendance, in his day very close to the Valencian PP governments, was surprising at the two meetings held with those of Mazón to negotiate the formation of a government.

In this way, it remains to know the second ministry in the hands of Vox and the content of the vice presidency. The sources consulted pointed out that it will not only be institutional but that it will have content. The government agreement establishes that the distribution would be proportional to the results of 28M, which gives a relationship of three to one for the conservatives. This, with 9 ministries plus the Presidency, is equivalent to two or three areas.

In this way, Vox closes an agreement very similar to that of Castilla y León despite having less weight in the Valencian government than it has in the Castilian-Leonese government. There they achieved 13 deputies to 30 from the PP and took over an institutional vice-presidency, three ministries and the presidency of parliament. While in the Corts, with a result of 40-13, they achieve one less portfolio.

Unlike the image offered on Tuesday, with six men and no women at the event, there has been female representation on this occasion, although only by the PP. The campaign manager Miguel Barrachina, is once again part of the popular delegation and is confirmed as one of the strong men of Mazón. After criticism for the absence of women on Tuesday, the PP has rectified and has included the elected deputy Laura Chulia (candidate in Benetússer on 28M) and the deputy and future mayoress of Almoradí, Maria Gomez.

Vox, however, has kept its list entirely male. She has repeated the bullfighter Vincent Barrera while the deputy elected by Alicante, david garciaand john paul crosscoordinator of the parliamentary group.
