The shoe retailer Solidus gets a new boss. On Monday, Tuttlingen-based Solidschuhwerk GmbH announced the appointment of Uwe Decker as CEO. Decker will succeed Yvonne Breinlinger-Scheuring in this position on August 1, according to a statement.
The experienced shoe expert has held various management positions at well-known brands such as Salamander, Sioux, Josef Seibel and Remonte over the course of his long career. At Solidus, Decker will now bring “valuable know-how and a fresh perspective” to the company. Above all, “through his 17 years of work at Josef Seibel Schuhfabrik GmbH” he “acquired valuable expertise as Division Manager for product development and sales”, explained his future employer.
Decker himself is looking forward to the new challenge: “It is a great honor to become part of the Solidus team and to assume responsibility as managing director,” he said in a statement. “I am very much looking forward to continuing our success story together with the Solidus team and to continuing to offer Solidus customers first-class comfort shoes.”
