Utrechtsebaan work: this is what it means for your car journey between Zoetermeer and The Hague

From Sunday 7 January to Sunday 4 February and from Friday 16 to Monday 19 February 2024, the municipality of The Hague will be carrying out work on the Utrechtsebaan (A12). To leave The Hague again you will be diverted during this period.

During the renovation of the Utrechtsebaan in 2022, damage occurred to two pump cellars and part of the sewer at exit 3 (Bezuidenhout) must be renovated.

Take a detour

The Utrechtsebaan was renovated in 2022 between entrance and exit 1 The Hague-Centrum (the intersection with Zuid Hollandlaan, S101/N44) and entrance and exit 3 Bezuidenhout. But there is still some final work to be done and damage needs to be repaired for which a temporary solution was devised at the time.

Traffic entering The Hague almost always has passage over the Utrechtsebaan and traffic out of the city is diverted on the way back. Click here for all diversion routes.
