Utrecht police shoot man in leg after threat of NS employee

The police shot a man in the leg on Sunday after he allegedly threatened an employee of the NS with a stabbing weapon. The police reported this on Twitter.

Police say the man ignored multiple warnings. The police shot at him on the Laan van Puntenburg, near Utrecht Central Station. The man has been transferred to a hospital.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, police said.
