A National Women’s Volleyball Team beat the host USA 3-1 in the semi-finals of the FIVB Nations League and advanced to the final.
In the match, where the Sultans of the Net started with the number of blocks, the USA took a break after falling back 6-10 and 7-13. With Ebrar Karakurt’s number of serves, Türkiye won the first set 25-21.
The home team, which could not be well organized against the national team, which started well in the second set, divided the game with time-outs at 7-11 and 10-16 after the effective game of Ebrar Karakurt. Maintaining its block dominance in front of the net, Turkey won the set 25-14, again with Ebrar Karakurt’s points, and got one step closer to the final.
Individual mistakes came to the fore in the 3rd set, which started with mutual numbers. Turkey, effectively attacking with Vargas and defending well with blocks, carried the set until the match service with the score 22-24. The USA, on the other hand, turned the game with good headlines in the last section and won the set 26-24.
USA started the 4th set effectively with O’Neal in front of the net. Turkey took a timeout at 8-6 after the opponent’s 4-0 streak. Against the national team, which returned well from the time-out, the home team used their time-out rights after leading 9-11 and 14-18 points. Concluding the opponent’s attacks with points with Zehra Güneş’s blocks, Turkey won the set 27-25 in which the match numbers were scored in a row, defeating the USA 3-1 and making her mark in the final.
The championship match between Turkey and China will start at 01.30 on Monday, July 17.
