US Special Forces arrest wrong man during exercise | Abroad

The joint exercise with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was “designed to enhance Special Forces skills in realistic and unfamiliar environments,” the Army Special Forces Command said in a statement. “But the team went into the wrong room and picked up a person who had nothing to do with the exercise.”

Further details were not disclosed, but the Special Forces stressed that the incident is being closely investigated and also apologized for the mistake. The FBI said no one was injured in the exercise. Neither the military nor the FBI have said who was mistakenly arrested, but local media reports it was an airline pilot who stayed at the hotel that night.
