US President Joe Biden (80) changes agenda due to dental problems | Abroad

The Democratic president has been struggling with toothaches since Sunday and had to undergo treatment at the root of the tooth. However, Biden woke up today with even more toothache and specialists at Walter Reed Military Hospital must therefore perform additional treatment.

That procedure, without anesthesia, takes place in the White House and the president should therefore not transfer his powers to Vice President Kamala Haris. That did happen once in November 2021, when Biden had to undergo a bowel examination under full anesthesia. It was the first time in American history that power was temporarily transferred to a woman.

Biden had to change his agenda today and has canceled all his obligations from Monday. His meeting with NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg has been moved to Tuesday.
